Sustainability
Sustainable business, easier said than done
Sustainable business, easier said than done
We believe that as a company, you must take social responsibility to minimise the burden on our planet. Only then can the intended climate transition be achieved.
Apart from the fact that our building system is by nature a very sustainable solution compared to hot-rolled steel structures or concrete structures, we try to keep our carbon footprint as small as possible.
Our system steel structures are by nature a sustainable alternative to a traditional steel structure or concrete floor because:
Since 2024, we have been able to offer projects in which we produce cold-formed beams made from thin-walled strip steel from ‘Green Steel’. This is material produced in a European factory for which certificates are issued for the minimum use of 70% reuse (scrap) material and where the flame blast furnace is powered 100% by renewable energy. If you would like to know more about this, please get in touch.
In addition to the fact that our product can potentially be used sustainably and that we are also working hard to make the steel market more sustainable, we also believe it is important to make our own contribution. We do this, among other things, by investing in making our own factory more sustainable and investing in greening the earth. We do this not only by donating to charities such as JustDigIt. Anera is also the proud owner of a private forest area located in Baarle-Nassau, the Netherlands. Here we aim to maintain and protect a Dutch forest, but also to grow the forest area. Curious?
