Why We Are Looking for a Project Engineer
Remember those old Meccano sets? That’s essentially what we create for well-known companies like Bol.com, Kruidvat, DHL, and Wehkamp. Well, sort of. We design system structures that ensure their warehouses and sorting centers are used to their full potential.
Our company is growing rapidly. Even during the pandemic, we’ve received many new orders, especially from online retailers. That’s why we’re expanding and looking for a Project Engineer to join our team.

Your Challenge
As a Project Engineer, we will teach you how to design and manage your own projects, from assignment to completion! You will join our project department, which includes our Sales team, five 3D Modelers, three Structural Engineers, and ten fellow Project Engineers, working closely together on larger projects.
A project often starts with on-site measurements to ensure that the provided drawings align with reality. We use laser distance meters and 3D scanners for this. The project then comes to life through concept design in Revit, where you create the drawings and work out the details.
Once the design is approved, you will determine the necessary materials for the construction, such as columns, cold and hot-rolled profiles, floor finishes, railings, and stairs. After the design phase, you will order the materials, arrange the schedule with the transport department, and coordinate the assembly planning with the client. Once the engineering phase is complete, the physical project will begin!
At the start of each project, you will have regular contact with both the client and your colleagues regarding production and any custom design elements. Anera has its own welding department, rolling line, and coating facilities, though some production is outsourced. Throughout the project, you will keep the client updated on progress and remain their primary point of contact.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll typically spend four days a week in the office managing projects. The remaining day is dedicated to measurements, client visits, or supplier meetings.
Your Onboarding Process
During your onboarding, you will get to know our product and learn how we create drawings in Revit. You will accompany a colleague to measure projects, gradually gaining experience. Within a month, you will have the basic knowledge to design five smaller projects on your own. In six months, we will prepare you to become a Project Engineer, and you’ll be managing approximately ten projects (at different stages) simultaneously.
Your Future and Growth Opportunities
Do you have the ambition to grow further in managing projects? We encourage this by gradually giving you more responsibility as a Project Leader for complex projects. Our goal is long-term growth, and we promise that you will not outgrow us anytime soon!
