Our Vision on Sustainability
At Anera B.V., we believe in actively contributing to a sustainable future. This is not only through the sustainable usability of our products but also by taking concrete steps toward greening and circularity in our operations. We are aware of the impact of our industry and work hard to make it more sustainable. This includes investing in innovative production processes, sustainable energy, and initiatives to green the planet.
Green Steel Program
Awareness of the importance of sustainably produced products is growing within the steel industry. Anera has embraced this shift by launching our Green Steel Program in 2024. This marks an exciting next step in making our products and processes more sustainable. Through this program, we offer solutions that include cold-rolled beams made from Green Steel. This material meets strict criteria:
Made with at least 75% recycled (scrap) material;
Produced in a European factory using 100% renewable energy for the blast furnace, significantly reducing CO2 emissions.
By using Green Steel, Anera provides material passports to ensure transparency about key data, including sustainability and origin.
Sustainability in Our Products
Our products and production processes are designed with circularity and efficiency in mind. We take pride in the benefits our steel structures offer for people, the environment, and the economy:
- Reusable and demountable mezzanine floors: Our structures support a circular economy through complete reusability and easy disassembly.
- Energy-efficient production: Most components are cold-rolled, a process that consumes far less energy than traditional hot rolling.
- Reduced waste: Rolling from a coil results in minimal leftover material.
- A strong second-hand market: Our structures are suitable for reuse, offering financial advantages through residual value.
- It can be transported very efficiently thanks to its low weight (no air transport);
- Our system steel structures are designed in such a way that the material is used extremely efficiently. A structure can carry an average of 8 to 10 times its own weight in variable loads!

Our Own Forest in Baarle-Nassau
A unique example of our commitment is our private forest area in Baarle-Nassau, the Netherlands. Anera proudly owns and manages this Dutch forest with the following goals:
Maintaining and protecting the existing natural environment;
Expanding the forest area for future generations.
In addition to investing in our own forest area, we support initiatives such as JustDigIt, an organization dedicated to greening arid regions worldwide.
